With several decades of experience in car storage in San Diego, California, you figure that we’ve seen a thing or two. Below we’ve aggregated some of the most frequently asked questions and their respective answers.


What is your Location?

We are centrally located in San Diego at 1304 38th St 92105 in the Fairmont Park neighborhood. We are close to the 94 and 805 freeways.

What are your hours?

Mon – Fri: 8:30 am-5:00 pm Sat:9:00 am-12:00 pm. If you plan to drop a vehicle off, we do ask that you arrive ONE HALF HOUR earlier than the closing time so that we may properly check your vehicle in.

do i need an appointment?

While you can show up to store your car with no appointment, we highly recommend an appointment at least 24 hours in advance.

AAAA Auto Storage is confident that we not only offer unparalleled car storage service but at the best rate in San Diego. If you can find a rate for the same level of insurance and service (regularly starting, fluids/ tire pressures checked, and garage keepers liability insurance coverage @ no charge) we will match that price. Please note for example that we cannot match On Base car parking rates.

What do I need to do to my car to get it ready for storage?

Prepping your vehicle for storage will largely depend on year make model and how long your term of storage will be. We recommend consulting your owner’s manual, dealer, or manufacturer customer-care for information on your specific car.

However we at least recommend:

  • Making sure the vehicle is relatively clean

  • No food left in vehicle

  • If the vehicle is bordering on requiring service, please perform

Do you take vehicles that do not start and run?

Typically we do not. HOWEVER, we hate to turn away business…so please call us! We tend to judge these situations on a case-by-case basis.

Are your contracts long term or month to month?

Our contract only requires that you give us 5 DAYS NOTICE before you remove your vehicle from storage. Beyond that, you can store for as long as you need.

Is there a minimum term of storage?

No. See the above question.

Can I cancel my insurance while I store with you?

Although we have insurance, included in your rate, to include fire, theft collision, and vandalism, we recommend that you keep your comprehensive coverage on your car while it is in our care.

I will be overseas, how can I make my monthly payments?

We are very flexible on this! Typically customers in this situation will leave us with their credit or debit card information. We will run the card automatically every month so you don’t have to worry about it! There are other options as well so please call us.
